The Italian scientist Galileo Galilei dropped two spheres of different masses from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to demonstrate that their time of descent was independent of their mass. Galileo discovered through this experiment that the objects fell with the same acceleration, proving his prediction true.

According to Galileo, both paper and apple will touch the ground at the same time. We will not observe both of them touching ground at the same time because of air resistance. The area of the paper is large, so it will take more time compared to apple to hit the ground. Since it will face much resistance by air compared to apple.
