A square current loop is placed in a uniform magnetic field this is directed upward on the page. The current is clockwise as show in figure. How the loop rotate?

The side ab of the loop move out of the page

The side ab of the loop move into the page

The side ab of the loop is fixed on the plane

Answer #1

According to the Fleming left hand rule , when current flows in wire and an external magnetic field is applied across

that flow the wire experiences a force perpendicular both that filed and the direction of current flow. A left hand can held as represent three mutually orothogonal axis on the thumb, first finger and middle finger

since current in the loop is clock wise direction(i ) magnetic field in y direction ( j) force acting on the loop is z direction ( k)

that is loop move out of the page.
