Answer #1

Heat is defined as thermal energy transferred from a hotter object to cooler object while temperature is the average kinetic energy of the molecules.

A.ZERO HEAT TRANSFER

As the block is placed at same temp as its own temp. there will not be any difference of temperature and hence no heat transfer.

B.NON- ZERO HEAT TRANSFER

As the photon strikes the atom, it imparts its kinetic energy to atom in the form of heat.

C.ZERO HEAT TRANSFER

As the bottle is perfectly is isolated ,it cannot transfer heat to surrounding ,hence no heat transfer.

D.NON- ZERO HEAT TRANSFER

As the heat flow take place when there is temp difference,so when cold object is placed on hot plate ,the heat will flow from hotter to colder object, and the water will eventually heat up.
