If I hold an optics bench by my hands, look at the tree outside my window using my telescope, is the image of the tree erect or inverted, enlarged or reduced?
There are two different answers on chegg stating that the image is either inverted and reduced or erect and enlarged. Which one is it? I am confused please help.
There are two types of telescope 1 is astronomical and another is territorial.
1 astronomical - in these telescope the final image is inverted it is used to observe astronomical object. Inversion of image doesn't matter as astronomical objects are usually spehrical.
2 Terrestrial - which is in your case . It is used to observe ditinctlyd objects on Earth. So the final image must be erect. So therefore an erecting lense is held suitably between Objective lens and and Eye lens.
The final image formed will be virtual Erect and enlarged.
