If , as the textbook states "there is no away" then explain in your own words why the world is not filtered with waste matter?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

We know that earth is closed system so a matter (on atomic/molecular scale) can neither be created nor be destroyed. It can only be converted from one form to another. So whenevr we throw something in the form of waste, it actually remains inside our closed system (i.e. earth)

Its like some industries or some people thor plastics in oceans or rivers or some other places where they think they can get rid of the plastic waste. But finally that plastic comes back to use (humans ) and impacts our life for example plastic from oceans will come back to shore. SImilarly waste/plastic from river will also come back to us (in form of drinking water or any other use). SO effectively the world is not being filtered with the waste matter.
