True

For single crystals, properties vary with direction. These crystals are called anisotropic because properties are different in different directions.

Ex- In BCC crystal structure of Fe , modulus of elasticity (E) vary with direction. In BCC structure of Fe, at the edge E = 125.0GPa and at the diagonal E = 273.0GPa

While in polycrystals, properties may or may not vary with direction. These crystals may be isotropic or anisotropic.

Ex - if grains are random, then the properties do not vary with direction. In polycrystals, elasticity of modulus of iron is 210.0GPa in all directions. However, if grains are textured, then the properties vary with direction.
