Leaching Process

the fine solid particle which contain solute and need to be extracted is fed into the container. solvent as a extractor is charged into the container which have good solubility of the solute.

heating coil is used to heat solution to achieve higher rate and increase solubility of solvent. agitator is used to increase mass transfer and make solid particle in suspended form.

after providing sufficient time, solid with solvent is taken out in separator containing screen and extracted solvent is taken out as a product. if solid particle is too small and difficult to separate by screening, settling tank is used to separate solid from it.

  • extraction of vegetable oil from its seed.
