A lead-tin alloy of composition 40 wt% Sn is cooled down from temperature 300oC to 100oC (Figure in Problem 6). Draw the microstructure at temperatures 300oC, 2000C and 100oC. Approximate the respective CL , C? and C? at each of these temperatures. Using lever rule compute the respective mass fraction of L, ?, and ? at each of these temperatures. Also at each of these points show Co is 40% using conservation of mass balance equation.
