It is a pulmonary fibrosis of the lungs that scars the lung tissues around the microscopic air sacs , making it difficult for the person to breathe.

The chronic exposure to mold spores and hay dust may cause a condition called as Farmer's lung.

The mineral dust causes pneumoconiasis.
