For Parts a, b, and c: Please consider a universe composed of two objects. One object was massive and at TH = 100 oC. The second object had a mass of 1 kg and was composed of ice at TC = 0 oC. The objects were brought into contact long enough for 34,000 J of heat to be exchanged.

a)Since the hot object was massive, there was no significant change in the temperature. Please determine ∆S of the hot object in J/oK.

b)The heat transfer was exactly the right amount to transform the ice to liquid water at 0 oC. Please determine ∆S of the cold object in J/oK.

c)Please state the Clausius Inequality and demonstrate that the scenario described above satisfied the Clausius Inequality.
