when start to selling fruit juice then one of the biggest problem faced is packaging for long shelf life.To increase shelf life Gable Top Carton packaging can be used. Gable Top Carton have preboard coated on both side with polyolefins.Occasionally aluminium foil is used for oxygen barrier. The blank cartons are delivered to the fruit juice packing facility,where they are filled and sealed. The juice is filled at a temperature of 4-5 degree centigrate where the microbials growth is low.And an inert gas like Nitrogen is injected into packed juice to remove oxygen from the headspace.These packaging are designed to limit oxygen thereby decrease in microbial growth rate which helps in increasing the shelf life of fruit juice.In this packaging the shelf life can be incresed upto 65 days.
