Homework Answers

Answer #1

In fermentation the yeast converts sugar into ethyl alcohol and CO2.

After the primary fermentation is completed , the beer is allowed to undergo for the second round of fermentation which is called as secondary fermentation. This beer becomes further clear and more polished in this stage.

It gives a better color and taste to the beer.

The beer then should be transferred , and all the possible chances of Oxygen introduction should be prevented, as it can oxidise the beer and result in stale tasting beer with undesired flavors.

After this dr hopping is done to enhance the flavor , aroma and bitterness , after which bottling and kegging can be done.
