Some of the threats to the data of hospital and Healthcare facilities include:-

1. Use of patient data for the purpose of marketing by a pharmaceutical company.

2. Unauthorized access to the system in violation to HIPAA.

3. Data is prone to curroption and recovery loss especially when handled by unskilled employees.

4. Data is prone to identity theft if it comes in the hands of the attacker.

5. Even with laws in place, data which cannot be linked to you or identified can be released for various purposes.

6. Authentication used to access the data can be manipulated and used by an attacker.

7. Data is prone to be accessed by unauthorized personnel due to human error.
