• Defend the data and information of the US Homeland and implement the country’s interests against cyber attacks
• In case of any cyber attack, provide network support to military contingency plans

As we can see, the cyber strategy of DOD is aligned towards the greater good of USA as a whole. The greater US Strategy is also aimed at prevention of cyber attacks in USA. Hence DOD’s cyber strategy is inclined and has overlapping domains with the overall US government cyber strategy.
