Answer #1

Productivity can be defined as the measurement of efficiency of person, machine or system etc to convert given inputs into output. it is the ratio of output ( revenues and other Gross Domestic Product) to input ( labor and capital) in the process of production. it can be also described as the balance between all factors of production which in turn finally give greatest output with less efforts. in short, we can say that productivity is a state of being productive.

If people would only work harder, productivity would increase

this statement is false. because there is a big difference in between hardworking and being productive. high level of productivity can not only be attained by hardwork infact there sholud be smart work to being more productive. if a person does his work in 4 hours but that work is done by another employee in just only in 2 hours by using smart work then second person' outcome is more productive. i am not trying to say that hardwork is nothing but only hardwork is not the key to increase productivity infact smart work is also necessary part of productivity. if enterprenuer wants to be successful in the business then there should be the combination of the hardwork and smartwork in the organization. just only putting a large number of hours in a work is not the only way to achieve success in the long run.

working too hard for a long time of periods leads to burnout because human beings are not machines. it will create sickness, unbalanced, disengagement and stress in employes. to get the highest productivity, employess' mind should be focused not unbalanced. there are many other factors which put impact on the productivity such as climate of organization, motivational theories of organization, leadership styles of managers, attitude, rewards, performance appraisal system.

all in all, i can say that hardwork is important but only hardwork is not the best way to attain productivity and success in the business. achieving success and gaining productivity is the combination of many ingredients and hardwork is one of them but being productive outweighs it.
