Verbal communication is a skill that is vital to the interaction that individuals and groups have. Communications can illuminate many loopholes from arising by effective communication as well as may create many inefficient verbal communication. It is the most wide spread transaction that any human being witnesses throughout its life cycle and the effect of verbal communications is in the form of development of mindset of masses.
My interest in learning effective verbal communication skills is to better understand and effectively develop my communication skills to be able to use it any professional avenues as well as use throughout life as a whole.
The understanding of verbal communication skills according to the principals will help me to use my communication in an effective and apt manner and this will also enable me to gain expertise in the subject matter and further help others to learn it too.
2. How does this theory or concept relate to your idea of communication competence?
My idea of communication competence is to be able to maintain a set standards that must be adhered for different communication requirements and as the verbal communication is a very vital tool of communication and is like irreversible reaction as once it is said the consequence follows and hence what is said should be controlled by learning principals of effective communication to control the consequences.
