TCO C) What are the differences between impromptu or extemporaneous presentations vs. scripted or memorized presentations?
The impromptu speech is that speech in which the speaker does not have any advance planning or practice. He makes up the words as he is delivering the speech. The extemporaneous speech is similar to impromptu speech but here the speaker uses cue cards or notes which gives him the idea what to speak next. Here the speech is made on the spot but is guided by the notes.
In scripted or memorized speech, the speaker exactly knows what he has to say and have practiced it few times. The speech is written prior to delivery and the speaker just have to deliver it without making up the words on the spot. He/she has clear idea what they are going to say next.
