Please describe the implications of changes in the social contract between corporations and employees. Please briefly discuss exceptions to the EAW Doctrine (The employment-at-will doctrine).
the employment at will doctrine refers that it is an assumption by both the employee and employer in their relations. an employee feels that the organization provide employement to him for undefinite period, and in the same way the employer also thinks that the employee will stay with the firm for undefinite period. with this basic pressumption both these parties works.
But later, the definitions been changed. most of the employers felt that if the employee is performing well, they will be retained with the firm by offering whatever they are looking for. if they are not performing well, simply fire them in the initial time only. similarly, the employees are thinking that, if they do not get what they expected from the employers, simply put resignation and search for another job.
in recent years, most of the people, particularly the millilnial generation is prefering to be a free lancer rather than permanent employees. the ziz economies are becoming work force economies, where the kind and nataure of works are changing day to day. the assumptions and expectaions among the employer and employee are changing along with the time.
