Answer #1

American University students should study comparative religions and it is due to the many reasons. The first reason is that it helps students learn systematically about different religions, their doctrines used and values and practices to be followed. It makes these students to understand and adapt the best of these values to become better professionals and better person as well. The second reason is that this study makes students become evolving, develop effective communication with individuals following other religions and manage diversity when they join organizations. So, these students become ready to develop balance in organizational policies that consider the values of different religions. The third reason is that the students become ready to work and develop their career in those countries also, where other religions are followed. It happens because they have studied and understood its intricacies as well as best practices. So, comparative religion should be studied.

My experience has been good, learning and exploratory with other religions where I found that core values that are based on honesty, morally good acts, mutual respects and helping each other are same in all these religions. No religion teaches people to fight each other and it is delivered through specific value driven learnings. So, the approach is different, but the learnings and its objectives remain same that is my experience.

I could become familiar by working with people who follow other religion, studying books on informal basis to learn more about other religions and observing their practices during their festivals, special occasions and value driven practices. It helped my understands their cultural practices followed under the religion and making comparison with my own religion. It developed familiarity about other religions over a period of time.

It has been suggested by some analysts that the reason that strategies fail (and new strategies often do fail) is because of poor implementation of the strategy. Using this as our discussion theme (why strategies fail), first, identify a strategy failure, videos, or your own experience and then speculate on the root cause for the failure. How could the failure have been avoided? Develop your own theory for the failure. -Case studies in strategic management-
