1. Getting the background information. This can be related to technologies, trends and some external factors.

2. Identifying future customers,owners, competitors, partners, and the developer team.

3. identifying the business objectives of the product.

4. Find the ways to achieve your business objectives.

5. Setting up the goals.

6. Implementation plan for the product.

7. Define requirements i.e. both functional and non functional requirements.

1. Company Size.

2. Product development approach.
