Answer: Some of the duties of the baroque court musician were

  1. Composing the music for different occasions
  2. To look after the instruments and music libraries
  3. Guardians of children of the choir members
  4. Disciplining the new musicians
  5. Overseeing the concerts

The surprising thing which I felt about the duties of the baroque court musician was that they resembled with the duties of the servants and they were treated as servants by their patrons like they had to look after the music instruments and the libraries which is not the role expected from a musician.
