Explain briefly, Escalation in Project Control.

Ans: Firstly, Escalation is a rapid increase in resources which are like material, labor etc. An escalation mechanism is used to resolve the issue. The team of project managers identify the issues in leading projects makes a risk control plan associated with the project. The project managers need to know the right usage and technique in escalation.

Every project need to be well maintained, monitored, project progress and controlled. Incase if a project fails it may be due to incorrect approach or else monitoring it. To eliminate the failures in the project the project managers or the team follows project escalation procedures to maintain the project success.

Here are some points as follows:
(1) If any problem arises in the project the team should have proper faith to discuss the issues which is related to the it. So, maintaining proper team is very important. Team responsibility should be well maintained.
(2) For every project you need to have a proper plan which is related to issues. So that everyone in the team can have access to the issues or risk factors evolved in it.
(3) One major thing in escalation is having a communication.
(4) The escalation mainly used during the phase of the project and end of the project. If a risk arises it should be solved and need to move to next phase.
(5) Each organization will have different escalation techniques.
(6) The other important point is deliverable issues of the project. Sometimes the team may fail to reach the deliverable on time and the team will inform relating to the issue to the management.
(7) People will be divided into groups as per the project concerned. If they have any conflicts within the group, it may lead to failure of the project. So, the project managers need to have a proper plan what things need to be done and they need to support them either technically or any work issues associated with them etc.

Hence, escalation in project plays a vital role to maintain the project on time and to deliver it.
