A. Material Identification is important because inventory in the company has thousands of products which keeps on increasing and it became impossible to recognize them. Therefore each item should be uniquely identifies so that no time will be wasted on search of items. Naming them will avoid duplicate stocks, items are correctly identifies by various departments and customers, accuracy in receipts of storage and sales, helps in standardization, etc. Allotting different number to each product is called coding.

B. The difference between Bar Coding and RFID systems is that Bar code is a paper tag which has bars printed on it that can be scanned with the help of laser reader. Laser reader will convert the bar code into readable information. Whereas in case of RFID, it uses a circuit and antenna which runs on radio frequency.
