Do effective leaders behave in similar ways?

There have been researches on this subject and university of Michigan's research states two types of effective leadership or their behavioral approach.

1. Job-centered : effective leaders can be job-centered who emphasis on the jobs and the procedures of the work

2. Employee-centered : as the name suggests, such effective leaders follow a behavioral approach that emphasizes on employee's satisfaction and providing better environment to ensure cohesion and harmony within the group.

Both the leadership behavioral approaches are different but they have been proven to be effective in their own ways. So, effective leaders may or may not behave in similar ways.
