Clear communication channels and consistent advocacy.	Virtual teams must rely on communication channels.
Easier flow of information.	Frustrated on negotiating multiple time zones.
On the spot briefing.	Virtual teams face challenges in developing trust, resolving conflict and exchanging related knowledge.

Basically radical and architectural innovations or innovations that may be requiring transfer of tacit knowledge will require greater centralization so in these cases it would be inappropriate for virtual teams.
