Job Analysis has been considered the cornerstone of human resource management. How do job analysis support managers making pay decisions?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Job analysis provides information on the skills required to perform the job, the duties that needs to be carried out by a particular position, the degree of responsibility as well as the difficulty level, the educational qualification and various other related factors. Managers determine payment for the employees based on these factors. The jobs are grouped into various classes like senior and executive role through job analysis and the pay decisions are usually made based on this classification. Thus Job analysis helps the manager to determine a fair compensation for the employees understanding the difference between different job positions based on factors like duties and skills required and their significance in the organization.
