Nationalism is a movement that is based on boundaries of nation to which a we belong. It is basically concerned with devotion and loyalty of individual towards their nation. This loyalty might surpass their own interest.

Influence of nationalism on the 20th century:

19^th century is called the age of nationalism by many scholars but in 20^th  century the movement has become more powerful than ever before, especially in Asia and Africa.

In 20^th century nationalism took a three fold identification. The three major areas were political system, economic system and social system. The major concern was to develop these systems of a particular nation with the aim of gaining national sovereignty, and governance.

Nationalism influenced several factors that are connected with nations. Some of such elements are:

• Language,
• Education,
• Politics,
• Culture,
• Civilization,
• Community,
• Religion

Nationalism, helped in the development of many countries.The idea of nationalism acted as a magical force, in the success of many countries. One of the concept that is connected with nationalism is that of imperialism.
