Prompt 2: Identify a company that has an ideal or nearly ideal organizational culture and describe the culture.  This means finding a current company example (not one in the book for this chapter) and discuss. Be sure to identify (with definition), which one of the organizational cultures described in the text best matches this company. (As a side note: Just because a culture is bureaucratic does not mean it is "bad" or even less desirable for the organization for that particular industry, but there are still elements within any culture that can be enhanced to improve the way the organization works and thrives. For example, Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold most likely could not operate with the same cultural design of Google and effectively get accomplished what they do, but still the culture could be enhanced and become a more positive place to work. Answer: The Google is the company which has an ideal culture. Google is the leading technology company at the global level. The company has a culture which supports innovation and creativity which supports the development of the innovative technological products. The company works for a mission of organizing the information across the world and making it useful and accessible universally. The company hires creative talent from across the world which makes Google a diverse workplace. The people are encouraged to think freely and provide and share their suggestions and ideas with the others. The intellectual curiosity and diverse perspectives are encouraged and the hierarchy is flat so that the people are easily able to reach the top managers and share their ideas. The adhocracy culture best defines the culture at Google. Such culture promotes creativity and innovation and the employees are encouraged to take risks. Experiments are promoted and the leaders arte innovative and visionary. Culture at Google has all these features and hence it can be said that it has an adhocracy culture in place.
