I worked with Mercedes Benz in past. They had many such measures-

  • If a defect used to be detected on the asembly line, andon charts were installed on the line to alert the management of the defect. Through this the management could take sufficient measures to bring the work on the track
  • Employee Flexibility Management System used to record the skills of employees and used to allocate them on projects based on their skills. Whenever a employee was tried to be allocated outside his skills, the system gave an error and prevented that mishap
  • Corrective Action Tool used to record the defects on the line by quality managers and can only be closed on resolution of those defects by production measures. This kept in check the defects on the line
