Technological development has created a drastic change in the healthcare industry from anaesthetics and antibiotics to magnetic resonance imaging scanners and radiotherapy.   Even the future of healthcare is going to be transformed by the technological innovations yet the technology technologies (new drugs and treatments, new devices, new social media support for healthcare, etc) will govern the innovation, the significance of human factors will still be evident and will be a stable limitation of breakthroughs.

There will be technological advancements and there will always be some innovations and new and exciting solution to existing and new issues. At present we have robotic keyhole surgery, which is quite an achievement but we are expecting the things to grow more sophisticated and lifesaving. In order to improve diagnosis, intelligent decision tools are resent. Technology is getting faster and faster, better and smaller. Moore’s Law says the speed of innovation is accelerating.

More than 90% of hospitals are implementing or thinking of a mobile device initiated and the ones those have digitized health services are becoming more worried about the safety and security of patient medical records. Hospitals and clinics will be in need of a robust and more secured MDM offering in order to support the mobility initiatives which is targeted at increasing caregiver efficiencies and improving the patient experience.

Mobile device management (MDM) systems are increasingly developing as an important healthcare tool so that healthcare institutions can manage the difficult and complies web of devices and can ensure that all the regulations and controls established by the agencies comply.

In my opinion, with the technological advancement, the medical devices are becoming more sophisticated and thus playing a major role in saving millions of lives each month. Yet there is main risk associated with the patient safety and security. The government and hospitals are required to sit together to make sure that the safety of patient remains the prime concern in healthcare rather than only focusing on technological advancement.
