It is a natural tendency to of every powerful being (be it an industry or a company or human) to dominate the less powerful ones. The same is prevalent in organizations. But as time pass by the loyalty tends to reduce and the less powerful ones shift towards being independent or take support of some other competitor which is growing. As a result the power tends to shift. In order to reduce this impact, powerful organizations take utmost care of their smaller patrtners and try to upgrage them, so that the companies find a better value proposiition to stay back i business.
