Explain whether a "task-oriented" (low LPC scale score) or a "relationship-oriented" (high LPC scale score) leader would be best for the following leader situation and say why (give an example):

* The leader's position power is low.

* The leader's relationships with his/her subordinates is not great.

* The task is not well structured.

  1. if the leader's position power is low, then relationship oriented leadership would be suitable. this is because if there is no power for the leader, task oriented leadership wont be suitable this is because task oriented considere to be a autocratic style where the leader uses his power to get the tasks done from his subordinates.
  2. if the leader's relationship is not great, then task oriented leadership would be suitable. this is because for task oriented leaders they need not have good relationship with their subordinates for getting the tasks done as it follows a autocratic style.
  3. if the task is not structured, then relationship oriented leadership can be suitable because through better relations, the supervisor can get the tasks done from his subordinates even if they are not structured properly.
