Describe what you believe to be the most important process in implementing a performance management system, and how can HR ensure that a new system is fully embraced by both management and employees?
Most important process in implementing a PMS:
The most important process in implementing the PMS is selecting the best software for the company. The company just can’t buy software. It must do lot of research. There are various challenges for the company like approval from the top management, the company must go for software that is easy to understand & use for the employees, must have a good vendor by getting feedback from existing clients about the vendor & another important thing is security of the data.
The HR must organize a meeting with both the management & the employees. The HR must explain to the management how the implementation of PMS can be useful in achieving the organization objectives, that the management doesn’t incur so much in introducing the software to the organization, how they can accomplish tasks faster when compared to their peer companies etc.
To the employees, the HR must explain how useful the software would be in knowing various things, getting updates, how easy it would be to use the software & also the training that would be provided to the employees in using the software.
All the above things can ensure that both management & employees would be satisfied with the PMS.
