Efficient resource planning helps you to estimate the time and resources required smooth. The budget, labour sheet, etc all are examples of such planning. It also helps to reduce wastage and gives you a dynamic where one can efficiently complete the task in time with minimal or no wastage of resources. It is referred to as optimum utilisation of resources.

Hence, we should estimate the gallons of paint needed before starting to paint, time it will require depending on the availability of time and other resources required like external help to complete the task in time.
