Situational leadership depends on situation factors , such a preferred leadership style and employee concern .

Path goal theory say that leader chart the path for the followers to achieve desire target. Leader clear obstacle and help employee to achieve the milestone.

Some of the major contrast in this two type of leadership are-

  1. Situational leadership tell us that leadership style is fluid and it changes with the demand of the situation , and adopt with the development stage of the sub-ordinates.
  2. Path goal theory based on the achievement of the milestone for the leader, it is less fluid compare to situational leadership style.
  3. Both style can be beneficial to different leader based on the trade they have and style of work they preferred.
