Organization's competitors' current trends of innovation are use of data and technology for increasing personalisation of the shopping experience, sending offers and suggestions to customers based on their preferences and buying behavior. There is increased focus on mobile commerce and apps to improve the online fashion sales business.

Organization's innovativeness compared to its competitors is moderate as Zappos is constantly focussing on ways to provide high levels of customer service to its customers, round the clock and aims towards customer satisfaction. The company has tried to improve the sales operations and outsourcing the inventory management for better focus on sales and customer service.
