Yes, the interpersonal skills can be taught to a good extent. Not all people are born with these skills and yet they end up being leaders with excellent interpersonal skills in their future. The ability to learn these skills depends on the interested of the person to learn them. The companies know the importance of the interpersonal skills where the employees need to interact with the clients and bring business or even deliver the project. So they organize personality development programs where the main aim would be to teach employees the interpersonal skills. There are different types of interpersonal skills and not everyone can learn all of them and become an expert in that. So the people can learn them only to an extent and become good at few types of interpersonal skills. The work they do will be based on those skills and it might open a door to learning new skills. The interaction with the colleagues or even the fellow students in the university will make a person realize the importance of it. So the people will tend to develop these skills by learning and implementing them to gain expertise.
