Case Study on Collective Bargaining:

Summary : ABC Inc manufactures five varieties of mineral water, coke and Beer as well, the company entered into collective agreement with their trade union during Year 2015 and which would be valid for next five years till Year 2020 , also there was collective agreement with the fixed salary employees performing the same Job, However Mr. Andrew joined ABC Inc as a chief HR manager during 2017, later he analyzed the agreement and brought the outcome like performance base salary with the baseline should be adopted to increase profitability in the organization,

Further CEO approved the same and implementation done during 2018, the scheme worked beyond expectation as productivity increased by 25 % also quality improvement done good, salary of the 80% employee increased to 20% of its current value, membership of trade union declined to 30% by 2019

As Collective Agreement will be expired on 31st dec 2020, so they requested the management for further discussion on it to reduce ongoing problem like salary difference

As HR manager analyzed the collective bargaining agreement and decided that Salary and Benefits would be based on individual performance of the employees

Function of State Labor Relation Board:

The state Labor relation board act as independent agency to safeguard employee within the particular state of the nation, also monitor collective bargaining agreement between the Union of the Employees and Company, Take Grievance for the Employee or union and company for further judgment according to Law

Their main duties like planning and overseeing representation elections and process any complaint coming from any company, employee of the state and further process the case for its raising support to higher satisfaction of the state employment
