I strongly feel and this has also been proved time and again by many researchers that CONTROLLING is the main and the most important process as far as the management is concerned.
This is because of many reasons:
•   It helps in keeping the project on track , any derailment would ensure that project gets impacted and controlling phase does not let that happen.
•   Controlling phase ensures that time and cost are as expected and the project is not crossing the deadline and cost.
•   It indirectly nullifies the negative impacts of the other three phases and hence is considered to be one of the most Phase.
