Did L'Oreal go too far in firing its patent lawyer?
How would you rule if you were a judge evaluating this case?
1) I would side the company. It's not Trzaaska's job to be a gate keeper. Let the U.S. patent office make these decisions. His role is to help the company acquirepatients for its products...
2) I would side with Trazaska. He demostrates a quality stance on the submission of patent applications
3) Am not sure who is right or wrong.
I would side with the company. It’s not trzaaska’s job to be a gate keeper. Let the US patent office make these decisions. His role is to help the company to acquire patent for its product.
Case:
Steven Trzaska is patent attorney for L’Oreal. He is assigned to file patent for the company. L’Oreal introduced patent application quota which required attorney’s to file specified number of patents every month. So trzaska argued that this quote system forces attorney’s to file patent which were not good product. This is wrong as trzaska job is to file patent and let US patent office decide which is wrong and which is correct.
