Question "are leaders born or made?" is the age-old nature vs. nurture debate applied to leaders and leadership ability. When you ask yourself that question, you may find that you have a predisposition to one or the other, or perhaps you fall somewhere in the middle...and yet there still might be a slight tug to one side. choose a side and present your arguments backed with some citations to help support your side. If you choose the middle, as in leaders are a product of both the traits they possess and their education, experience, etc. then you must create a compelling, yet succinct argument. Use examples where appropriate to help create a persuasive argument for your stance.

Answer #1

Leaders are both born and made. A person might have leadership qualities by birth but they require circumstances and situations which will turn them into leaders. Without any trigger and opportunity no leader will be able to display their abilities. In the same way a leader cannot be made if they do not have those skills in them. For example Mahatma Gandhi became a leader due to the circumstances where the country needed a person to guide them . But he is born as a leader and therefore he was able to identify the need for a leader and guided the nation efficiently in the correct path which many others were not able to do. Hence a leader even born as a leader needs to be made into a leader.
