1. Expat means those employees who are sent abroad for the main aim of company’s international expansion. the following steps would be useful to improve the expat program for the success of organization:

• Strengthen your on boarding program, helping to ensure workers feel welcomed and aligned with your organization from day one and beyond.
• Offer rewards, not only in the form of financial benefits, but in the form of home leave and support every family member during the expatriation process

2) Synergy between functions and business units helps in experiencing greater returns on investment as compared to the case in which each of the divisions were setup as independent businesses. This synergy can be obtained through achieving economies of scale through coordinated strategies and sharing resources and know how. Such type of synergy is what takes place after acquisition especially in horizontal and vertical integration.
