Answer #1

One of the job for which robots would be better suited than humans is cleaning the sewage. It is an extremely dangerous task to do manual cleaning of the sewer systems and it imposes serious health issues on the workers. Most of the sewers are much below the ground level with less oxygen which may lead to death of the human worker. Many developing countries are still using humans for cleaning the manholes and sewers. There are many deaths of the workers reported due to this. It is the best area where robots can be used effectively because the robots can clean the areas without any threats of health issues or chances of death due to lack of oxygen. They can complete the cleaning work with utmost precision and we can keep our sewer systems clean.

Costs of Capital vs Opportunity Costs 1.What connection do you think exists between costs of capital and "opportunity costs?" The cost of capital is measured so that you can evaluate the firm’s investment opportunities. In other words, it measures the risks associated with a project. Each project needs to be evaluated for different risk factors. Each of these projects pose a potential opportunity. And each opportunity has a cost that is attached to them. This is how there is a...

This time I wanted to try using CSS float layout options on a website dedicated to my favorite topic: robotics. I wanted my website to look like what is shown in Figure 1 (see below). However, after giving it my best effort, things once again didn’t turn out the way I wanted (see the code...

"You realize," Dr. Thorne said, "that you may not be in the group that receives medication. You may be in the placebo group for at least part of the time." "Right," Ms. Ross said. "You’re just going to give me some medicine." "And do you understand the aims of the research?" "You wan tot help me get better," Ms. Ross suggested hesitantly. "We hope you get better, of course. But that’s not what we’re trying to accomplish here. We’re trying...

PROS AND CONS OF A SECOND JOB There was a time when moonlighting—taking on work in addition to your full-time employment—was for under-employed workers and the severely cash-strapped. Today, even working professionals can be cash-strapped, and people in all fields and income groups are supplementing their main income by moonlighting. For some, the second job isn’t just for the bucks but also for the skills and the sense of being a free agent. And although extra part-time jobs used to...

This worksheet is about doing simulations on a TI-83/84, but feel free to do the work on a computer if you prefer. You are going to estimate the value of ? through a simulation. A circle inscribed in a 1x1 square has area ?/4 (you may want to draw a picture to convince yourself of this). Now, we can simulate picking points inside the square as follows: randomly select a value between 0 and 1 to be the x-coordinate, and...
