China is a socialist republic, that
follows the centralized communism philosophy with the stronghold of
the country. The country of China, will show a bit more
transparency in their political system, but it will strongly
emphasize the central political leadership without its dilution. It
will take initiatives to bring reform to the relationship between
the political leadership and MNC enterprises coming to the china,
but it will not let any interference, of the external world or
opening up for the other parties or following true democratic
political structure. So, most of the political change will be only
for the change in visual reform in political structure without
making any real change in the coming two decades.
Regarding the economic development, China will focus not only about
the next level of economic reforms, making laws that protect
intellectual property rights, but also it will develop human
capital that is more superior in skills, proficient and come at
relatively higher wage level. It will improve the productivity
level in the country. As a result, China will not be dependent upon
the foreign influx of highly skilled labor, rather it will produce
its own. In coming 20 years, a next generation of Chinese workforce
will be developed. Regarding economic reforms, the laws will be
made more friendly to the MNC companies such as repatriation of
income so that more companies can be attracted to the China. It
will boost the Chinese economy and GDP will increase. Further, the
number of jobs, per capita real income and living standards will
also get better in the country of China. But, it will still not be
equivalent to the living standards of the countries in western part
of Europe or USA. Besides, at present China is more lenient towards
the IPR laws, but in coming time, it will be more stringent as it
will make credit worthiness to the Chinese regulatory framework, a
precursor to attract the new companies in China.
Regarding the social development, the social norms and culture will
adapt few good aspects of the other cultures that will reach China
with the people going to China. It will relax the uncertainty
avoidance index and increase the level of indulgence in the
country. Further, dietary habits in the society will also be
modified due to the social structure getting modified. The presence
of globally renowned fast food chains in China, will also
facilitate this social change. The one kid policy in China, will
also curb the family size, and average age of the population will
increase with a decreasing rate of growth of the population.
So, China will change in coming 2 decades, but in different
proportions to different dimensions.
