The Coercive leadership style should be used for short term when it actually becomes important as nothing else worked. This type of leadership is much needed when there is a time of crisis which ensures that everyone works together and follows the same set of rules and remain compliant. In case of unproductive environment with apathetic workforce, this style can enforce everyone to take new approaches for work completion. Hence, most of the time this style works better when there is some sort of change is highly needed and helps to sustain during turnaround time, takeover, any emergency and bigger transformation is required. The coercive leader looks for immediate compliance to be taken care and remain demanding of the situation.
