We can say that service schedule can be considered to be a complicated process to be predicted or set due to the fact that service demand such as the quantity, type of service, and the scheduling process such as timing is a dynamic value and often considered variable and hard to forecast. We also need to take into account that the inventory might not be good enough to act on the demand or possible in the case the capacity is limited.

For example, we can take demand scheduling in a movie theater scenario. We can say that we cannot show the movie before the customers arrive that is why the factor of demand exists. The theater is limited in capacity as to how many people can occupy the space at any given time.

We can, therefore, say that demand scheduling becomes hard to predict as well as perform in the given cases.
