Input-Output control is a technique controlling a process by monitoring the inputs given and outputs received. Examples of the same can be:

  • A CNC machine having fed a maximum of 280 units per hour and is expected to deliver minimum 250 units of output per hour. Hence monitoring the both the input and the output for controlling the process.
  • A bodybuilder taking calculated amount of protein and fat (Input) and doing body fat and body muscle weight measurement (output). To see how effective is his fitness regime.
  • The gatekeepers of a famous Indian temple allowing / stopping pilgrims on the entrance gate (Input ) and moving blessed pilgrims continuously at the exit gate(Output) in order to keep the no. of pilgrims in temple below a maximum capacity.
