From the perspective being an Operations Manager in Office Admin, the implications of a security breach in the company’s infrastructure (all forms - human, technology etc). -

Security on the organization is very important. The security of the organization ensures that things are not stolen from the organization and not taken out of the company by any person, without the due permission of the authorized people in the company.

Security is to ensure that the material movement and other organization related processes are running well and all the materials movements are taking place with due approvals from the authorized peoples.

Security breach in the company’s infrastructure could lead to major implications for the organization as below

  • Can lead to security issues as there are supported by the infrastructure level issues in the organization.
  • Can lead to difficulties in managing the securities as the infrastructure level issues are still making it worse for the security team.
  • Low support from people in security management due to issues in the infrastructure of the organization.
  • High security force will be required to maintain the security of the organization.
  • The process for security management will not ne user friendly and people may not be satisfied due to this odd security management process.

ONE reason why such a breach could occur: The major reason due to which the breach could occur in the organization’s infrastructure is due to low focus of security readiness in the infrastructure by the project in-charge and project sponsor and it is not the part of regular reviews of the project critical tasks due to its low importance. If this security readiness was given high focus and high importance, then it will be a part of critical tasks and it will be reviewed during the project execution systematically and it will be ensured that this is completed properly.
