Comment on the following field situations.

When a respondent asks how much time the survey will take, the interviewer responds “15 to 20 minutes.” Then, the respondent says “I’m sorry, I have to refuse. I can’t give you that much time right now.”

After conducting a survey with about 10 people, an interviewer noticed that many of the respondents were saying, “Was I right?” after a particular question.

Explanation:

When interviewer tells that particualar survey take particular time to complete it is according to them because they know the answer and they have gone through the survey before designing that survey, but when it come to person who is going to face that survey, he is new to that survey and it takes longer than interviewer told about the completetion time. Normally interviewer dont know about the capabilities and education background of surveyor so he can say about completion time of survey according to his knowledge, but survey time depends differently on every person.
