When are establishing the company successfully in existing market segments and looking to have market in new markets benefits like untapped markets , customers base , business opportunities and targeting in different ways. Risks of expanding in new market segments like loss of investment, failure of products, time consuming , customers acceptance risks and competitors risks. Globalization is rapidly increasing and world is becoming a global village , domestic companies are looking to global opportunities and exploring their uniqueness. We have seen some segmentations are not compatible and need global understanding and skilled while segmenting the market because of societal changes and customers preference. While segmenting the market organization should look global prospective and global trends.
